Problem with going nights without sleep. Not always but in comes in spells. No sleeping napping during daytime.
Psych. Doc started Lunesta 3mg and Restoril 7.5mg or 7,5 dose not helping. Occassionally works ok and I may get 4 straight hours but all the time. But the big problem is which one of these if any are causes severe binge eating. As soon as my eyes open I am starved to death and eating somethimes at 2am,3am, 4am, ect. I binge all day long and starve constantly. I has to be one of these new drugs. Can you help.   Ragan

Actually it sounds like your thyroid might be malfunctioning!  You need your thyroid level and TSH level checked right away.  That could explain the sleeplessness and ravenous hunger.  It could be affecting a lot of other things too, so call your MD right away and get in as soon as possible.  Don't settle for just a thyroid blood test - you need the TSH level also, and any other blood tests they recommend.

This site on the thyroid happens to be part of a menopause website, but men can also have thyroid problems.  I remember that both President George Bush (first Bush) and his wife Barbara both had thyroid problems while he was in office.
