Zoloft for 15 yrs.

It started in 1993, after 1 yr. of talk therapy for anorexia.  Zoloft helped and followed with 4 yrs. continued therapy. Eating disorder completed ended. It was 50 mg. for most of the 15 yrs., but still battled serious bouts of depression, but managable.

Last summer new gp put me up to 200mg. Also synthroid dose tripled to 150 mcg. I've had hand and head tremors for 5-10 yrs. Now, they are worse, embarrassing. My head shakes like I'm 90 yrs. old! I'm also quite keyed up, happier than ever in my life, but my mind is spinning and I'm an visibly anxious. My mother died last fall and I didn't grieve like I should have....happy, buzzing me. Sleeping is ok, not great.

MRI cleared me of any issues. I asked gp about going off Z, but she really doesn't want that. Yes, I believe I need an anitidepressant, but is it wise to be on something for so long? And, I'm afraid the damage has either been done to my nervous system.

My gp says she likes the higher doses of synthroid because it gives her energy...and this dose fits my blood analysis. Also, I've had ultrasound on thyroid glad, just lots of benign nodules. I've been on synthroid over 10yrs.
