Since I've been back on the Seroquel I'm groggy for the first part of the morning, but am okay by mid morning.  I wonder about the effects of Geodon in my system, which doesn't help the anxiety..  I walked for about an hour last night (my legs hurt today!) and it seems to relieve some of the anxiety related issues.....  Unfortunately, as far as the doctor goes, you may have to call a couple times of day until you get a return call..  When I was experiencing my Gedon nightmare I called a total of 5 times over three days before he finally called me back.. Of course when I saw him on Tuesday, my first comment was how disappointed I was in his lack of response, especially since he was so adament that I call no matter what the symptoms.....  He couldn't apologize enough, but it still left a really bad taste in my mouth.  The dose of Seroquel I'm on (200mg) isn't the dose he wants me at... he wants me at 3000mg or 400mg, but I know I would be comatose with that high level.  I'm going to stick it out for the next few months, and then ask him to reduce my dose to 100mg and see how I tolerate that, but then there's the anxiety if that's not going to be enough to control the depression, mood swings, etc...  Believe it or not, walking has really helped me.....

Sometimes I wish these doctors would take the medication themselves so that they can at least empathize with their patients.......

But until then, it's a matter of dealing.... how horrible does that sound?

Did you reduce your medication under your doctor's supervision?  That plays a key role in how your body reacts to suddenly not having the drug in your system....  call you doctor.  Today.  Leave a message, an urgent one, and have them call you back.  Hopefully under their care and supervision you can find the right medication, at the right dose, and feel better..

Abilify didn't work for me at all, but then again, I've tried several different meds.  The worst by far for me was Geodon...  I was on for two weeks and literally could not function.  I was dizzy, sick, hot, cold, tired, couldn't sleep, vision was terribly blurred....

I finally went back on my Seroquel (200mg/day) last night and the anxiety has certainly been relieved.

Let me know how you do... you're not alone in this.....
