adderall and maois

Hi,  i have been seeing a psychiatrist for depression for awhile and have been on all sorts of antidepressants and could not tolerate them.  I was then put on Emsam, an maoi that didn't help, either.  My psychiatrist would not prescribe Adderall (adderrall) because she didn't believe in controlled substances.  I had been on Adderall (adderrall) before seeing this psychiatrist, but my old psychiatrist  moved to Iowa.  It was working very well.  I then told my PCP and she has prescribed the Adderall (adderrall) for me.  My question is, I was only on Emsam for four days.  How long should I wait to start the Adderall (adderrall)?

I really don't think 4 days is long enough to see a difference with an antidepressant. I would give it a few weeks, personally, unless the side-effects are unbearable.
