Since your switching from one antidepressant to another, the withdrawl you get from the EffexorEffexor Effexor xr should be much less that a person going cold turkey off of all antidepressant drugs.
Effexor is an SNRI and perhaps in your case the Norephinepherine action of the Effexor was just a little too much for you. Sertraline (Zoloft) is simply an SSRI and you may find it a little less stimulating than the Effexor.
