i have depression now for 5 years, it was too severe in the first two years to an extent i was thinking to suicide.
but now i am much more better.
and u know what helps a lot? u have to learn how to be selfish, u have to learn that everyone around u is happy and u deserve to be happy too!
but in the same time, don't overload yourself with the too many questions: why i am not happy.. and why i stopped enjoying this or that, just accept this fact, accept that this is normal and many people might have passed through it at a time in their lives.
do charity, try to add a smile on other people's face, give the poor, if u were unable to benefit from your own life then let others benefit from it! leave a trace,
u also have to write down what are the things that you're not happy about in your life, and try to think of solutions to them, put them all on papers instead of leaving them hanging in your head. if you don't have any problems, or anything u compalin from, then again don't overload urself, just let the sorrow pass.. take ur time, don't say i will have to wake up tomorrow happy, and if u don't then ur back to the depression cycle again, if u were not happy tomorrow, then there is after tomorrow. and day after tomorrow..
know, that we are here and this life is just a trip to the final lifeafter which we were first born in, i was not a believer, but reading about religion helped a lot overcome my depression, to know that this is just a temp life, allllllll will die, rich poor, happy sad, healthy unhealthy, all will die...
hope my words can help really.
Depression will do that to you and make you feel that way but we must battle it and not let it win.Yes,easier said then done but it,s the only way along with a good doctor who understands and the right meds for you. It,s hard work but many people can feel ok again and never throw in the towel. We have to surround ourselves with positive people not negative ones and look for the good in life and stay away from the bad.Your not worthless, your somebody and you have a right to be happy. All the best to you.
I have a friend that has serious depression issues. He is brilliant, artistic, and a good guy. He refuses to address this issue. I watch his world get more and more narrow. He has become almost a hermit. The sad thing, anyone that meets him wants to know him better and enjoys being around him. He does not enjoy being around himself. I truly believe he is one of those that would benefit from some type of medication. I doubt he ever will. It seems there is a point in deep depression when we feel NOTHING will help. Sadly, that is not true. With the right therapist and meds..life does get better.
It's the nature of the beast. You have to fight back and seek help with your depression so that you control how you feel. It robs us of everything but it doesn't have to be this way. With therapy and medication you can feel better. Make an appt. with a psychiatrist and go from there. Best wishes.
