Will medication help depression that is not continuos. I am an epileptic and 99% of my seizures occur when I am depressed or worried. Things depress me about twiceTwice-a-day a month, for two or three days. I believe if I didn't get depressed my seizures would be under controlControl Control rx. Does depression medicine help ocassional depression?
Mmm, I don't think that the effect of an antidepressant would kick in in the matter of 2-3 days. It takes a longer while than that to get effects of it.
I am no one to diagnose, but have you considered that with most epileptic seizures there occurs a chemical change in the brain, leading to the seizures? Could it be possible that that chemical change also triggers the sadness?
Yes, I am on three seizure medicines. This medicine controlsControl Control rx the seizures until something upsets me or gets me depressed. Then the seizures begin.
One thing I forgot to say is the spells of depression occur either when I begin thinking how much I want out on my own but can't because of the epilepsyEpilepsy Epilepsy - resources Treatment of epilepsy or anything else depresses me.

Do you have medications for your epilepsy? I would think you have that, but I'm just asking to make sure I don't misunderstand you.
