depression/sleeping

i'm on my 3rd day of taking anti-depressants and not sleeping very well since i started taking them very restless!! is this normal when you first start taking them? i know little sleep is one of the symptoms of depression but i always slept quite well?

On average you can anticipate some side effects that may go on for about two weeks, give or take. At some point you should level off and start to feel somewhat normal or "better" to a certain degree. Give it some time and see how it goes aftera couple of weeks. Unless of course the side effects are just too unbearable, then consult with your doctor. They might alter the dosage or try something else.

I totally agree with the above post.  There is an adjustment period where things may get worse before getting better.  Try to be patient knowing each day is taking you closer to feeling better.  Take care!
