Thanks lisa! i appreciate your support.Ok first of all i am not bored! I am experiencing withdrawals, and depression,it's not black or white..its gray! I am a recovering alcoholic and addict, done a ton of healing on myself..for over a decade now.I believe from all the drugs i burnt out some connectors to my brain, that will never grow back! i have tons of people in AA and or NA that are on some pill or another for depression and or anxiety..Yes some of the crying is from the very deep healing retreat i just did,the rest is depression, and just day to day stress. Please don't tell me how i'm feeling,or what to do,i'm just looking for support, not judgment nor who's right or wrong,i am close to 40 for whoever said i am young. I have gone through everything, long life, very abused as a child, also have pushed through a lot ..I only want support no arguing, please only maturity..

Hi Mandy
You haven't got depression you've got withdrawal your brain is craving the drug. Dr's bring us off far too quick, ive weaned off slower with my support group been off my tablets 10 weeksand now getting depression symptoms. You will know its withdrawal because its worse in the morning, it comes in waves and links in with your periods. Take 5HTP its natural from the health shop you can go up to 400 mgs aday whilst suffering W/D. I take 200 in the morning it converts to seretonin and 200 of a night converts to melatonin.
Hang on in there coming off these pills effects brain chemistry for months these pills store in the fat in our bodies. It is far worse than coming off drugs/drink they are better in four weeks if they wean off not us. But we are not going mad and we won't stay strong you are young and you will Be Back To Life !!
Love
Lorraine xx

There is a young lady on this forum who is pregnant (forgotten her name) and she has had to stop her anti-depressants.  Perhaps you can find her posting, and you can "chat" to each other.

She has a picture of a man with a baby on her profile and she lives in the UK like me.

Take care.

Did you take pills while pregnant? If u have ever been? I heard it can cause birth defects.? Big time!! I'm accepting the fact that I may need these the.rest of my life. I also want a baby in the next couple yrs.

Oh gosh, I did not know you were not supposed to take anti-depressants whilst pregnant.  That is hard.

Does doctor say it is dangerous?  Is there nothing that can be done for you?

You feel like some others do, that there has to be a reason for depression.  You say you don't know why you are depressed.  There may not be a reason, the depression.  Same with me.  There don't have to be triggers in your life.  It is an illness.  Like diabetes, we have a common illness.  Don't beat yourself up about it.

I have stopped my anti-depressants a few times, and the time it took the depression to return varied.  Usually it was months, but last time I felt well for a year before the depression came back.  Different for everyone.

The more we have a depressive bout, the more likely depression returns.  Perhaps, like me, you need to stay on the medication for the rest of your life.  Again, like diabetes, you have to keep taking the tablets, or insulin.  Just accept that if you can.

Very depressed! I can't find out why I'm just becoming so deeply depressed 90 days after stopping zoloft????  I thought the withdrawals and depression. Occurred days or weeks after? Not months..

Spiritual ceremony! It was a detox ceremony in another country, amazing, they wanted us "pure"  to work on DEEP issues that make dwellings inside our bodies. Inner child, adult life, anything that is festering inside someone, now that I think about it!! I traveled alone to another country, stopped my antidepressants,  did very deep healing, then came home to no job,and severely depressed.no wonder why I feel this way..thanks for your input.I will gladly accept any more!!

Could you please explain what a spiritual ceremony is.  I have never heard of one.

Glad you have started your medication again, and I hope you soon feel better.

Keep in touch.

Hello, welcome to this forum.  Why is it you stopped your anti-depressant medication?  Do you feel you don't need it any more, or was it giving you side effects.

After 90 days it should have left your system.  Do you not think that what you are feeling is in fact depression.  Some of us need the medication to keep us steady.  I know I cannot function without.  I have tried stopping, but depression always comes back in time.

I think you need to go back to the doctor and tell him how you are feeling.  You can't go on like this.

Keep in touch.

Because it takes awhile for medication to build up in your system and start working to begin with, so it takes awhile for it to get out of your system as well. Because of this, it is still treating depression sypmtoms until its out of your system.
If your still feeling depressed, then maybe you should start taking them again, or another form of depression medication.
