I have struggled with depression most of my life. Off and on many medications. It is a difficult feeling to deal with. I'm 58 and have been dealing with stressful situations which seem to make it worse . Looking for work for 5 months, lost almost everything , living withy daughter because I have no where else to go, etc. Even when things were going ok , the depression was always coming and going . Stress does make it harder. I hope to get advise or suggestions that mike make it more tolerable . This is my first time on this site, I'm hoping it helps...

i think there is a caregiver support forum on this site, but it is a very hard job both emotionally and physically.
you probably feel somewhat disconnected from the world. you spend every minute of the day worrying about your mom and may feel a sense of guilt when you think of doing something for yourself.
please don't allow that to happen. you deserve some time away. time for yourself. i suggest taking at least 2 hrs a couple times a week for ME TIME.
even if you just sit outside and read a book, it is time for you.
push past that guilt feeling and make yourself go out
