diagnosis

I am currently being medicated with Wellbutrin 150 mg three times a day and neurontin 100 mg twice a day.  I was diagnosed with major depressive disorder. I want to learn everything I can to stay well...I try to read up on the condition I am diagnosed with to be informed.. the more I read ,...the more I see that these meds are used to treat bipolar disorder....I am starting to suspect that I am not getting the right diagnosis or that the psychiatrists are not telling me everything. I would rather know what is going on.  Is anyone who has major depressive disorder being treated with these meds also? Anyone out there with bipolar disorder and being treated with these meds? Or has anyone heard that psychiatrists deliberately hold out on other diagnosis for the benifit of the patient? I would appreciate any feedback. Thank you.

I was just recently diagnosed with BP. Doctor has tried me on 2 other meds and now I am trying  Wellbutrin 150XL. Generic  Bupropion.. Only taken it for two days now so I don't know how it is going to work yet. Did I understand that you are taking 150 mg three times a day? Is yours XL? Just curious. How long have you been taking the Wellbutrin?

Wish you well. Hope your meds work for you.
