gastric bypass surgery

my friend had gastric bypass surgery. the friend has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Could there be a chemical imbalance from the surgery? If my friend doesn't eat properly or just in general, could that throw off their chemistry and mimic be bipolar?

i dont think you could mimic the bipolar part. i think that depression that sticks around can actually just be a by ffall of the missed nutrition and mall absortion  hormones go nuts if you dont get the protiens that you need vitammins are really important also.
