going off depakote after about 14 days

Anyone ever stop depakote after being on alow dose for like 14 days...it or else the xanax that im on is making me sevedrly depressed i have skipped some doses and like thhursadat i ddint take it but i took it friday dr told me to not take it sat and i think she said go to 1/2 dse tonight and then stop it foe good....but it makes me feel so low i dont want to take the 1/2 dose tonight i just want o stop it,a pharmisist said i should be ok as im not on it for seizures anyone had bad depression while on depakote

Not personally. But I have known others who have. Anxiety and emotional changes can take place. Are you starting a new med to help with your depression at the same time?

I have been on depakote on 500mg for eight days felt more depressed and very angry. I am worried about withdrawal I have stopped altogether

10 years ago i was on 1500 mil of xr depakote for bi polar and dhs got in volved in my family about my children. they split us up and brain washed my wife to devorse me. there was a time that all my fealings built up in my head. Emagine all and every feeling all at once building up in your head it was so intense. The feelings began to shift from the middle of my head to the right side and then the right side of my feelings just dropped of down to who knows where. I could see them drop and they seemed to drop to the floor. I felt horrible as if the world was at an end. Then 2 weeks later i had the most horrible feeling in my heart. this wasnt phisical. it was emotional. the most horrible feeling i ever had. it was as bad as the feeling i had in my head but it was different. my heart filled with all the love and emotion that it could. then it burst and not phisically but more spiritually i say drainage from the aera. The drainage was a greenish color it continued to happen until it stopped which happened over a week or 2 i was so horribly distraught its hard to remember.Itwas the worse time of my life. I was just wandering if this has happened to anyone else and if they desined this drug to do this.
