homosexuality is a disorder?

hi i am from india i have a friend who is nice guy working in a bpo. the problem is he was a homosexual he like doing with males only.he was neaver attracted to females.is it a disorder.it can be curable through behaviour therapy( or) and councilling by psychiatrist? is it a brain disorder? plz suggest me.

The interesting thing about humans is that we are made up of chemicals (or elements, which make up chemicals), and chemicals control everything in our body...everything from muscle movement to our moods. Chemicals even control our sexuality.

So, much like depression being an imbalance of chemicals, I'm guessing homosexuality is too.

You are born homosexual or heterosexual. It is not a product of upbringing or socialization. Who in the world would want to choose to swim upstream like homosexuals have to all their life? It would be like asking for a life sentence of hatred and condemnation!!!
It is NOT a disease!! Our society is just not sophisticated enough to allow for it because it makes us uncomfortable. We shouldn't make the effort to change  the gender of who people love......We are the ones who need changing. We need to become tolerant. Empathy for all human beings is in order!! Hatred takes up so much energy. Our energy should be redirected towards more important matters

Society has two views of homosexuality. The traditional view holds that homosexuality is an aberration, the orientation is a disorder, and the behavior is pathological. The opposing view is that homosexuality is a normal variant in the human condition that is determined before birth and that homosexual behavior is natural for those so oriented.
