im not understanding

2001 6 1/2 yrs ago i was put on serzone for depression  2 year later i stopped taking it  i felt good my life changed  for the better. so the past year i put a wall up from evryone i wouldn't go out of the house i wouldnt answer the phone  and cryed over a drop of dime very isolated and angry  iwent to my md doc and asked her to  give me my medication i use to take serzone i told her everything  i went to pharmist gave her scrpit she said they dont make this no more but  they have the generic nefazodone hcl  why take serzone off  but use  the nefazodone hcl if it is the same  why dont they make it no more? is this something to be concerned about ? im very confused over this  ive been on other  meds for depression  serzone was the one that worked the best hope u can help hope i didnt confuse u lol

Serzone is one of the older type antidepressents. The generic is there because, the cost for one thing. There are so many newer drugs out there for depression now, maybe you can talk to your dr. about possibly changing to one of them.  They all work about the same, some better than others. But I'm sure there is one out there for you.
