is there a anti depression medication that wont cause weight gain.

i need help. my meds on zoloft at the highest dosage has stopped working. i need to find something else to help alleviate my depression soon. I also have issues with weight gain and an eating disorder. the eating disorder is under control but i have a huge fear of any medication that will cause weight gain and an increased appetite. any suggestions??  i heard cymbalta is good!  help!

thanks my dr is weening me off of setraline and putting me on celexa. i hope this doesnt cause weight gain or increased appetite and i am also starting concerta for my adhd. phew i hate taking all these fricking meds. ugh~!

On Cymbalta long time, no effect on my weight.  Hope your Doc chooses a medication that suits your symptoms though.  But yes Cymbalta on and off for five years and no problem, same weight.  I dont weigh myself often am fairly active and have never dieted or watched what i eat.

Hi, you need to go back to talk to your doctor about this and see if theres another medicice that is right for you.
