There is some natural way to overcome depression. Follow these two techniques to keep the brain relaxed, and you will feel the difference in weeks. Let me know how you feel in a few weeks, as your feedback will help others.
Build up your timing gradually. If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume after one minute.
Anulom Vilom pranayam –
Close your right nostril with thumb and deep breath-in through left nostril
then – close left nostril with two fingers and breath-out through right nostril
then -keeping the left nostril closed deep breath-in through right nostril
then - close your right nostril with thumb and breath-out through left nostril.
This is one cycle of anulom vilom.
Repeat this cycle for 20 to 30 minutes twice a day.
Children under 15 years – do 5 to 10 minutes twice a day.
You can do this before breakfast/lunch/dinner or before bedtime or in bed.Remember to take deep long breaths into the lungs. You can do this while sitting on floor or chair or lying in bed.
Bhramri Pranayam -Close eyes. Close little flap of ears with thumb, place index finger on forehead, and rest three fingers on base of nose touching eyes. Breathe in through nose. And now breathe out through nose while humming like a bee.
Repeat this 5 to 21 times.

Education or anything for that matter not going the way you hoped can set depn off.
Comparing yourself to others is not a foolproof way of resolving your feelings though, as people's brains are different so a set-back that causes one person to try harder to get ahead may discourage another person.
Accepting that you have a depn and must try to find a way to deal with it is not easy but living with depn is not an alternative.
It is true that something like 15% of depn sufferers do not get relief from any meds they experiment with, and this coupled with the fact that lots of docs prescribe meds for problem patients who are unhappy with their lives (meds won't help those people as they need to refocus their goals instead to something attainable) and the failure stats go up. In my case Celexa worked in 1 week and I went off it 8 months later, contented all the while. 4 years later I have new problems bothering me causing anxiety and depression that have gottem past the point that I can handle them. I restarted Celexa 2 days ago, hoping to get another quick relief.
thanx for the positive response.my case is certainly that of someone who has had depression for no real reason.yes over the last few years certain things didnt go my way like the education im pursuing.but when i compare myself to others i think im in way better circumstances.yet the depression strikes again and again.i often think its genetic because now when i look back i was always a very shy and underconfident kid growing up.i even wrote a post the other day about certain phobias ive had since childhood.and now it all seems to be coming together.ive never been to a therapist or taken meds.but now i feel that all these striking at once is a clear signal for me to get help!just have to muster up the courage!
Often a combination of talk therapy and a good medication can make all the difference. Often, it is a chemical unbalance that depresses us. When something can help, why not try it?? I know that in my case that is what it was. I was suicidal from the time I was a young teenager. I struggled with that for many years until I got help. Once I was on the right medication (took several times before I found the right one) those thoughts went away. I only wish I could have done it before years had passed. Things have come a long way in the many years since then. Don't be afraid.
Often our depression has a root cause which is normally a traumatic event from our past which we never truly dealt with or may have forgotten. This comes back in the form of depression and/or anxiety demanding to be dealt with. If this is your case then therapy would greatly benefit you in helping you learn what the event was....deal with it and ease your depression. For some of us we never know why we are depressed and medication is our only hope. You sometimes have to accept depression like any other medical condition requiring medication to control the symptoms, and that's okay! For every one bad story you hear there are thousands of good ones, so don't allow the bad stories stop you from seeking proper help with your depression. For so many medication has given us our life back and we are happy, functioning people. Antidepressants do work and when you find the one that works best for you....it will be well worth it! There is so much hope and reality that you can feel better via therapy and/or medication. I hope this helps and we're always here for you!
