Worked full time and went back to class 4 hours a 4 days a week..i got really down. i started to stay away from my hubby and kids. i just stayed hind in the bedroom win ever i got home. i felt like i was sad all the time. people around me said i was depressed at that time. now this year im starting to feel like i was last summer.i though it was baby blues at the time. but with this feeling again i know its not baby blues.. im not sure why.. i just feel down all the time. i had my hours cut back where i work 2 hours day. so i could stay home with my baby and my 6 year old. win he gets home from school. you would think i would be happy but its hard anymore. please help if you all can.. i want to be happy like i use to be.

I am in the same situation I am a stay at home mom I love my kids to death but I am just so depressed and don't feel like I want to do anything with them.

I do have a thyroid and adrenal problem that I am treating right now so I guess maybe there is hope that I may one day feel like I want to be a mom again.

I would also push you to get your thyroid and adrenals tests done also because it will only get worse if that is causing your problems and is very treatable.

Your loss of happiness may be due to depression, but only a professional can determine this.  Since it is affecting your day to day life I would definitely seek help.  This should be such a happy time for you, and you are missing it, especially with your children.  The last post is also a good idea, seeing an Endocrinologist can determine if your endocrine system is okay.  Few people realize that our endocrine system impacts every organ in our bodies, and they can tell you if your hormones are affecting your mood. You don't have to feel this way, there is so much help for you. Good luck and take care....
