all he said was that based on the folate being high he knew the b12 would be very low
I've heard that high folate can be a pretty significant problem in terms of how one feels. The high levels of B12 should be reducing the folate, but did your doc talk to you about the high folate?
I wondered about that too. my folate is very high and the b12 was on the line for being low. so that's why the b12 injections were prescribed. im just so sluggish. I have to force myself to physically do anything. I just don't get why the first shot did fine and the second one hasn't done anything. maybe it is my depression talking but its frustrating me.
A problem with taking too much B12 for too long is it's in balance in the body with B6 and folate. B6 is also essential for a functioning nervous system, and is necessary for the body to manufacture serotonin and GABA. It's something to consider with whoever is giving you the injections.
