Like all SSRI's and SNRI's you can not get addicted in the same way one might get addicted to Opiates or Benzodiaziphines, But you can develope a dependancy to the theraputic effect of the antidepressants (if they are working to help you feel normal)

There is a big difference between Addiction and dependancy. In a way I guess antidepressant could be viewed as addictive, but you don't get cravings for them in the same way one might get a craving for a Narcotic.

I used to take Lexapro at 30Mgs a day. When it stopped working (after 2 years) I had no problem switching it for another antidepressant.
