I feel your pain, and this world is full of pain for people who have depression and for people who don't.  Everybidy....and I mean EVERYBODY who walks the face of this earth has to go through something or something(s).

Whatever that something is....you have been called to have it and deal with it.

Some peolple have cancer, some people are deaf, blind, injured in war, lose their parents in a car accident, lose theor spouse to a murder, have their children taken away....it goes on and on.

Because of sin in this world there will be pain....for EVERYBODY.

But thank God that by His grace we can find help through  his son Jesus Christ spiritually which can lead us to physical and mental help as He guides us through healing and medication and friends and familiy and/or programs who/that can help us make it through.

You are NOT a mistake and life is worth the living even if only for that brief moment of joy you experince from time to time...

DON'T GIVE UP!!!!

Don't start by asking this question:
What's the point of living in this so called world if EVERYTHING IS AWFUL ALL THE TIME???
I am not saying it is wrong to think that but that is the wrong question.  If you don't ask the right question you cannot get the right answer.
Askin about the point of life is difficult because it is less likely there is a point to the whole life and more likelly a bunch of points for living in moments of life or a point to living through certain moments.
If you ask  a question like:
What's the point in going to the grocery store?
That would be easy to answer- t get food
What's the point in brushing my teeth?
Because cavities suck
I have been at points so low that I couldn't even take my life because it would require to muh motivation to actually go through with it and that is sad but even in that situation there is a point that drove me forward.  I needed to get better in order to kill myself.  Fortunately in trying to get better to kill myself I always found a point to go a litte bit further.  So maybe that is the point.... just go a little bit further.

Everyone goes through rough patches as we go through life.

If you are having problems dealing with life, or are depressed, perhaps talking to a therapist would help you sort out your feelings. A GOOD therapist may be hard to find, but it is worth the effort.

It is possible that depression medication would help, but that route is sometimes a bandaid rather than the best answer. It depends on whether you are depressed because of a chemical imbalance or if the depression is situational.

A GOOD therapist can help you sort out your feelings, provide a sounding board (talking to a stranger may help you to see things in a different light), and determine whether medication (with all of the possible side effects) would help you.

Therapist do not perscribe drugs, but they can often distinguish between a mental problem that can be helped by talking, and a chemical imbalance.

I hope you find the help you need, and your anguish is replaced with happiness.

Because it is life that's why it makes everything difficult. If this awfulness becomes something you can't handle anymore, you should seek for helps. Nothing always works at the beginning, still not working at the end, sometimes attitude is important, would you rather live without a hope, or all your hopes are being destroyed. If you were as depressed as that, you should rescue yourself by talk to somebody reliable and eventually to solve the problems.  Life create troubles, we alive to conqure the lives.
