Ditto ditto Paxiled's posts.
I should have added, there is also therapy, of course, and natural medicine, which tends to be weaker in action and therefore less liver toxic or not toxic at all the closer it gets to being food.
There are no medications that don't in some way adversely affect the liver, as they are unnatural to the body and it's the liver's job to protect you from them. So at the least, the liver and the rest of your immune system will have to work harder with all meds. However, some meds are more liver toxic than others. You need to research this, but my understanding is that the ssris, for example, are not highly liver toxic, whereas tricyclics and snris have been more tied to liver problems. And that also depends on how healthy you keep your liver as well -- an unhealthy liver will be more difficult to keep safe from meds.
