yea i was wondering why when my girlfriend takes the meds her doctor says shes suppose to be on she has moodswings and stays up halfnight and when shes not on them she seems to act normal or do u think it could be me just me

different meds have a different affect on people,she needs to find the correct meds for her,she was obviously put on them for a reason but if they are not working she should go back to see her doctor.

I'm bipolar, and several of my previous bfs have told me 'oh u dont need meds' or 'i want to see you without meds- the real you'. You are in a tricky situation. Her health should be between her and her dr HOWEVER, depending on how long you have been together you can always just simply ask her about it...depending on how open about it she is. Just tell her you want to understand her better. If you guys have been together awhile, and you talk to her parents you can always ask them as well...tell them your observations and just let them know you are concerned.
