I know that there is some kind of interaction with just Adderall (adderrall) and Lexapro (serotonin syndrome?). I was wondering if mixing that and marijuana would cause any serious side effects (i.e. seizures)?
The nurse that prescribed the Lexapro and Adderall (adderrall) said I should just drink milk because the tryptophan would counter the interaction.
I know.. it's bad to use illegal drugs and everything but I'm just experimenting a bit and know I won't try anything else. And just because someone asked me already... I won't abuse the Adderall (adderrall) even though a lot of people do.
Not to seem insulting especially since I've gotten some great advice on these forums, but if anyone knows of some legitimate research or something like that I would definitely appreciate a link.
Smoking might actually be adding to your problem. You seem to have alittle bit of guilty conscience(SP?) and that might also add to your problems. Why take a chance like that with your brain and your body? Listen I am not perfect and I've done IT before and I've also seen what IT did to my husband, our marriage, our sons and more, but too much to write! You only get one chance at life and it's not to experiment with things that are bad for you or illegal. Everyone says that I'll just try this and nothing else, they lied to themselves and so are you.
Be careful with the marijuana. I "tried" it when I was younger thinking it wouldn't be addicting and it creaps up on you before you realize you are. Then after you smoke it for a while, you become paranoid. I was really happy when I got away from that stuff. It's better to be as normal as possible. Besides, my Counselor said that the reason I'm so depressed & on medication now is probably due to my drug use earlier in life (wasn't even that much) and its probably created a chemical inbalance. I'd love to not have to take anything, but now I'm 53 and don't forsee that ever happening!
Never met a pot smoker I didn't like. Having said that it has kept me from dreams coming true and getting an education and having any sense of truth or well-being. This mostly because I am a closet smoker, daily, and I isolate myself and lie to all.
It is true you shouldnt mix meds unless directed by a doc. As for as weed I have been smoking the stuff for 16 years. An still take meds. An i still get to have my life work an school.I have a few friends that have seizures. They tell me that they have less attacks since they started smoking. Im not saying it okay but just be carefull. Everyone has a different tolerance to things. If you are going to smoke weed. Smoke it the way it is ment to be . Keep your sh** straight. Remeber it is ment to help not hurt. Piece
To: the riht med combo is needed for many stuborn case
I wish to discuss with those interested whst workd for me and will be potentially a breakthrough treament ....recieved this treatment from head of pharma psych. in Canada
okay...i'm no expert but...not everyone reacts the same to the combination of adderall (adderrall), lexapro and weed. remember not an expert but i do pride myself on having a considerable amount of common sense. Here's a little story...(short version). Woke up in the morning and for oh, i'd say the 100'th maybe th0000nth time in my life i swallowed the adderall (adderrall) then the lexipro the hit the bowl (let me just say that i don't encourage this AT ALL, this is no longer my life). with MY BODY i don't recall showing any symptoms of withrawl and buring skin or dizziness. if anything the only symptoms i am surprised i remember is that my brain was on overdrive and mush i was retarded for about 2 weeks because of the speed from adderall (adderrall), the downers with the lexipro and basiclly completely f****** LD from the weed. not to say that people really are going through these symptoms but just stating that everyone is diffrent. to this day i feel that i may or may not have lost some brain cells but this isn't about brain cells its about dizziness and tongue swelling...OUCH! only god knows. i hope the dizzy and tongu swollen people find help.
i am curentaly on 150mg Zoloft, 15mg Zyprexa, 15mg Adderall (adderrall), and was on Wellbutrin 300mg untill and overdose that lead to a seizure. i am a heavy smoker and let me say that it helps with my depression better than Zoloft. i am diagnosed with ADHD, paranoia Skitzophrenia, bi-polar mania, depression, social phobia, and borderline personality disorder. My interactions with the prescription meds and pot is great. not only does it help with depression but it helps me remember things 100 times more when i take my adderall (adderrall). Though my BPD and Skitzophrenia are effects of long time marijuana use i can say that i have never felt better in my life then i do now. Im not saying smoke pot, but take it from me a little weed here and there is a good mix with anti-depressants and Adderall (adderrall).
It has helped me out alot
This will not answer your question, but being 17 and having smoked daily for 2 years now (and sort of not liking it, because it gets me in tons of trouble) please read my advice and take it into consideration.
Like someone said earlier, be careful about marijuana, its not that it is physically addictive as much as its mentally addictive. You'll start by doing it every once in a while and sooner or later you'll be doing it twice a week. (You'll say "Oh, this time I'll only do it twice a week but next week I won't do it at all" and next week you will say "I'll just smoke once this week and then none for 2 weeks" and it will continue till you start smoking daily. I still smoke marijuana daily and their are its pros and cons to it. Smoking marijuana daily means your friends are going to be just like you. Consequently, your going to be drawn into doing things you don't want to do (usually driving people places you don't want to go, going to places you dont feel comfortable at) Also, if your currently in school (mainly high school) take it from me when I tell you if you start smoking daily or even weekly your grades will start dropping not because you don't understand the material but because you will put off your homework for smoking and instead of going home in doing it after hitting a jay, you'll go home and go to sleep. Most likely, you will start to not care if you go home high or anything like that. You will start distancing yourself from your family and your non-addicted friends (granted everyone smokes weed every once in a while). You will probably not care about getting caught (or at least not try to hide it as much, you'll get lazier and lazier the more you smoke) and come home and lie to your parents about why you smell like smoke.
On the other hand, weed is a GREAT depression and stress reliever. It's a great thing to do if your looking to have a good time with some friends, or just relax when your parents (if you live with them) aren't home.
What you are doing is mixing speed and grass.
That could be described mildly as dangerous and more of a threat to your mental well-being and a detriment to your mental health.
Stay away from the s***.
Peace~
