obsession/depression?

hi i am not sure if "depession" is the right way to describing what i am facing...
let me first describe what i am going through... (sorry for my poor medial terms)
i develop a strange stomatch pain and need to go to the washroom (urination and excretion) ... this happens only when i need to leave my house or have to wait.i feel so scared that my whole life style has changed and i can rarely leave my house...  pain develops not exactly in the stomatch but in he lower part of my body in the excretory parts.. and is so sever that if i dont use the washroom it causes disyness and blackouts for a few seconds

While these symptoms are very unusual, they may be caused from an inner anxiety about being away from home.

This anxiety may be manifesting itself in this manner of having to be close to a bathroom.
These symptoms your having would require some medical testing and also a full consultation from a psychiatrist to determine where this compulsion is actualy originating from.

I'm not saying for sure that this is OCD, maybe it is and maybe it isn't, but OCD can manifest itself in some very odd and unusual ways and just perhaps this could be why your having this problem.

Describing my problem has been really very difficult to Physicians..they land up thinking that i have a bad stomatch or suffer from gas problem.. which is not really the case..
i will try to explain it in the best way possible...i have a fear that i might need to go to the washroom...this has been going on for the past 4-5 years..... yes i have had cases of sever stomatch upsets in the past and this might have orignated from there..i was in a field job and had to be careful while leaving home..or moving from one place to another.
it use to constantly ring in my head...
Now whenever i am going to an unknown place or have to travel or leave my house ..or have to wait i develop pain and need to go to the washroom..in case if a washroom is not available i feel dizzy and few seconds of blackout.....any kind of bad new or unexpected bad news causes a similar errect....  i feel very comfortable when i am at home... even the though of leaving home sends a chill across my body and i feel my stomatch loosening out....

Hello Ashish,

What you have described here are not typical symptoms and signs of an obsessive compulsive disorder. But as Hensley has mentioned, it could turn out to be a variant.

It will help if you could write some more details about the situations which bring on the urge to go to the toilet. Do not worry about a diagnosis. This forum can help you understand your symptoms well so that you can plan further course of action. And in the process, you will eventually have a few diagnoses as differentials.

I would like to know if you have seen a physician yet.

Regards

Obsessional behavior can take on many different forms. While this could be caused from OCD, it could also be caused my some physical factors.

OCD can have some very bizzar symptoms which can manifest themselves in some very odd ways. When you need to leave the house do you experience elevated anxiety?
