hello
i get depressed a lot, most of the time in fact. i find that one sleeping pill occassionally helps to recharge my mood. by occassionally i mean no  more than 10mg valium in about 2 months.. sometimes 4 months.
is this addiction? it doesnt feel like it. been doing this since around 2004. i dont reach for the pills whenever i am sad, just when i know i could use a good sleep. its in frequent enough that my doctor will prescribe them to me and i just use them very sparigly. he has prescribed 14 pills per year for 2 years and i still have some left
how often would imply addiction?

It is not addiction as far as I am concerned and I do know what addiction is.  Goodluck
