options with venlaxine

really wondering what my options are now as been on effexor / venlafaxine now for 8 1/2 weeks up to 225mg  and continue to feel depressed, avoidant and socially quiet which is not the person i am. Contniue to take mirtzapine 45mg and 5-HTP but considering dumping these or / and further augementation stragegies. Anybody have any good experiences with Lithium ornate as an additional supplement or with Lithium carbonate itself for treatment resistent depression?? Was really hoping that Venlaxine would work as contining to feel very sad and dispondent for the majority of my time with things getting slightly better as the day progresses. willing to consider anything and hoping to increase the effoxor to max dose in UK to 300mg after conversation with doctor.

I would add Wellbutrin XL before making anymore move.

I took the venlafaxine, but with low dose Zyprexa, 5 mg, but 2.5 would have probably been enough.  It worked very well and i was able to give it all up once recovered.
