question about effexor

i have been taking effexor for 2 weeks now..before this i took lexapro and it didnt work..effexor is much more better as i can now see the improvement in my concentration..just that sometimes my concentration is ok and sometimes it's not

but it makes me agitated and restlessness..i cannot sleep and my mind just does not stop thinking...i dont know if it's a good thing cause before this it was very terrible as my mind was always in a blank state (when i was on lexapro)

so what do you think? my psychiatrist is away and i have walked in to see 3 diff doctors..tired of telling the whole story to different doctors i met

i'm gonna wait for another 2 weeks..fuh the medication makes me feel good as i can concentrate better and i feel much more confidence.. just that i'm not sure how to interpret whether i feel happy or worry cause it makes me anxious inside almost all the times

Effexor targets norepinephrine, basically adrenalin, as well as serotonin, so it is a stimulating antidepressant.  Two weeks is too short a time to know if this will pass and how well the med will work, but that's probably the reason for your current agitation.
