question to Venora Moonwind and FMXSMKR and anyone else who knows about meds

by Leah22, Dec 23, 2007 11:51PM
I asked for Venora and FMXSMKR specifically because you both have been incredibly helpful, but if anyone else knows about meds, especially prozac, I would appreciate your input. As I have said in another post, I have been on prozac in the past and I am now on my 5th day of starting up on it again. Well, I have a awful headache that has not gone away....I have tried advil and excedrin and neither have helped. I am also constantly dizzy. Is this normal??? And, what can I do about the headache? Thanks so much for any advice!!!

Last time I took the meds, my doctor said it didn't matter what time of day I took them, as long as I take them the same time every day. She suggested I take mine at night because I also get tired from them. I remember having a headache last time that did go away within a week, I just don't remember if it was this bad. Also, I have recently developed migraines, so maybe that is the cause. Do you think i should start taking them at night again? Thanks so much!

I would take it at night and see if that helps.

My advice would be to see your doctor if your headache has not gotten better by now especially if your still dizzy.  Since you were so anxious to start the prozac again, maybe it IS a migraine or tension headache and has nothing to do with the prozac?  In that case, you may need something stronger that OTC meds.  It's three days since your post and I hope you're feeling better by now.

Happy New Year honey!
