hi. i know exactly how you feel i tried to kill myself when i was 14 but it didn't work. do you have any family. i find that women are better listeners and more understanding than men, so try to talk to a women about how you are feeling. have you been diagnosed with a reason for this like depression because i have. i am on anti-deppressants so speake to your doctor about this. also ask to see a psycyatrist because that might help. if you need any help i can talk to you, because there's nothing better than speaking to someone who has been through what you have been through, or are going through what you are going through. can you tell me if i have helped you in anyway. thanks.

Thanks Sun,

I am already for 17 years on AD´s, but they do not help... Just started with a MAO inhibitor, this would be the last option before lithium..but the last i really don not wanna have..
Speek to you later.. Bye.

Sometimes ADs don't work as well on their own. I've had depression for over 11 years, and the docs tried everything on me, but I always would eventually become immune and didn't want to keep upping the dose. Finally, this one psychiatrist put me on a combo of Prozac and Lithium. I was also skeptical/afraid of the Lithium (I had severe mood swings, but didn't think I needed something for BPD). That combo gave me the best results out of everything. It didn't feel "fake" or make me feel numb; it just leveled me out enough so I could continue to deal with my daily life. If you're depressed to the point of suicide, you really need to consistently see a doc, even if you start feeling better. For me, this has always been my most vulnerable time because I think "I feel better! I don't need to talk to the doc. I can handle this." I usually start forgetting about the meds, and weeks later I end up back where I started with no one to talk to and wanting to die.

Depression is a lifelong illness. There is no "cure," but there are many resources out there for you to overcome it. Don't feel like you're singled out. EVERYONE has their own battles to fight. I've found that group therapy works wonders because you can hear everyone's stories and realize that you're not alone, and that some people have it way worse. Do not allow your brain to trick you into thinking suicide is an option. I'm sure many people love and care about you, and if you love them, you will continue fighting to learn how to love yourself.

Also, take a look at your diet and exercise. I know it's simple, but a poor diet really does affect our moods more than we think. I tried out the raw food diet and I swear I've never felt that happy naturally in my entire life. Right now I'm taking heavy-duty multivitamins (which is supplemented with mood-enhancing herbs) and I can really tell a difference. The days I take them, I feel energetic and able to face the stresses of the day-- when I don't, I'm much less resilient. Just keep in mind that your physical health plays a huge role in your mental health. Try to find a healthy lifestyle that works for you and focus on that. Once you propel yourself into that kind of a lifestyle change, the momentum of positive results will keep you going.

I hope this helps. I know what you're going through, and it's so exhausting. But I've lived with it for a long time, and I'm still kicking and glad I made the choice to fight. :)
