probably the bleeding is due to menopausal symptoms but definitly needs to be checked out. its hard making friends but sometimes just joining a group or a club is a start.
a lot of people are in the same financial woes right now, but the most important thing is your health and the rest will take care of itself.
good luck
I think you are dealing with two different issues, both which need addressing. You need to get looked at by a GP about the "bleeding", do you mean menstrual? We can't suggest here what meds to try, but it's a good idea to educate yourself when you go in. Do know that meds aren't an instant cure, they will help you cope, but they won't take the issue away. It sounds like you are menopausing possibly as well, a miserable time, on top of the instability in your life. Even just talking with your doctor can help and maybe a referral to some talk therapy, but do get a check up, going for 6 weeks with your period is serious and needs to be checked out.
A psychiatrist is better than your physician, but if money is an issue use whatever resources you have and see your doc. My doc worked for me, but it is all a matter of how deep your problem is and your body chemistry.
You need to see the medical professional to find out if you are just unhappy and feeling down because of the recent events which have been quite a shock to you, or whether you are clinically depressed.
If you are not clinically depressed, there are lots of therapies such as meditation, cognitive behaviour, talk therapy etc. Your doc may prescribe short term anti-anxiety meds in addition to the therapy.
If you are diagnosed to be clinically depressed, however, most likely you will need a med for at least 6 months. The depression will have a pretty good hold on you, but the meds take the edge off, if they work for you. There is no guarantee of success as each person's body chemistry is different and reacts differently. They worked for me, but other people don't all get a good result.
Be open with doc, and you stand a better chance of her being able to diagnose you.
