Oh sweetie you need to get help..Suicide is not worth the pain your family will go through.  Is there any particular reason you do not want to go the hospital?  You could always try church and prayer.  But if you are seriously having these thoughts...get help NOW!  I knew someone in high school who hung himself and that had to be the worst funeral I have ever been to.  His 8 year old brother tried to jump in the grave and they had to literally carry his mom to the car after they burried him.  Please, Please do not do it... NOTHING is worth your life.  Your life is so precious.  I am sure your family would agree.  Do not put them through that.  They will start to feel guilty that they did not see the warning signs... plus however you plan on doing it.. someone has to find you and that is a horrible thing to find.  I found my partner dead on our couch in May.  It was not suicide...but it has effected me tremendously.  I have horrible PTSD.  Plus if you do it...there has to be someone clean it up.  Just please think of others and get help.  You are worth it!  YOU are worth it!!! I hope I have helped in some way.

Please head to your local ER, there they can get you on the correct meds. They can make sure that you are safe from self harm.

In looking back there were times I needed to go to the hospital when I didn't want to. You may need to do it. But speak to your psychiatrist regardless. Immediately. If you have depression you can't "talk down" suicidal ideations. If something is wrong in your life then you could talk it over with a therapist but if these thoughts happenned from nowhere or in reaction to a minor event then it would be the right time to speak to your psychiatrist and get your medications adjusted. If you feel you can sleep then that's typical of the burnt out feelings of depression. But it won't stop the thoughts. Or they will come back another time. If you can explain it rationally now is the time to tell your psychiatrist before it gets worse. Seriously. For your own sake.

Have you tried another hospital or a hotline that offers referals to othe programs?
I know that feeling of "which is the worse of 2 evils?" but it's more important to get to a safe place. even if the hospital can't help you for now its safe. please send me a message directly and let me know how you're doing. you'r ein my thoughts

Look if you can keep yourself engaged that's a good thing but why not call your psychiatrist and set up an appointment? If you feel less down today maybe you are rapid cycling and if you set up an appointment and got the medication issue addressed then maybe you could avoid a crisis before it occurs but don't just let it spiral out of hand. I had posted some ideas on the other thread to speak to your psychiatrist about. If you have tardive dyskinesia as you said you should have your psychiatrist refer you to a neurologist who is a movement disorders specialist. I know before treatment, the pain and spasms alone from that gave me suicidal ideations. And its emotionally disfiguring. But the treatments I am on do help control it. That's another issue to follow up on in addition to speaking to your psychiatrist about overall issues with medication.

Hi, my hospital helped me.  I was lucky, my first suicide attempt I went to the hospital and they had a mental ward and I was put in there.  My pdoc and therapist came and talked to me.  This ward became almost my second home for 3 years.  The hospital did away with the mental ward because of financial reasons.  The hospital still treats "us" but puts them in with the general patients.  I agree, find another hospital that is friendlier.  Also crisis line was a great help.  Found out one of my old friends was one of the operators.  You are not alone.

I was actually put in the emerg ward, because they didn't have room!  I was treated normally, and I think that was important. Except asking me when I went for a smoke if I'd be back lol. I wasn't in there long term, just until they got me onto a med that calmed me down. I saw  a pdoc not even a week later.  I would go to another hospital like Kobuk, let us know you are okay?
