switching from zoloft to prozac

by honeyeyes, Aug 20, 2007 06:19PM
i've been taking 150 mg zoloft daily. now i had nothing left and i'm not eligible for medicaid anymore. i still have prozac left from an earlier use (what was very successful). i stopped with zoloft two days  ago, then i started taking 40 mg prozac. i' m having withdrawal symptoms - light-headedness, headache, irritability, pressure on my eyes. how long will they last even though i'm taking prozac? how's the experience about switching from zoloft to prozac? thank you so much!

I dont know about the sitching but I do know if you are going to stop a med like zoloft you need to taper off slowly with adoctors supervision. If you are in the states go to the health dept. Many states offer services for little or no cost. There are alos county and city agencies as well depending on where you live.
Hang in there and let us know how it goes.
