tegretol

Hi everyone. My doctor put me on Tegretol to boost the effectiveness of my other meds, which is fine. I am having some problems though with side effects. Is there anyone here who has had experience with this medication? I really need to talk.

Hi there, just read your issue with tegretol. I'm a 23 year old female and had an experience with tegretol for 3 long years which was way back when i was very little. I have a history of edema (swelling of water) in the brain due to which i was put on tegretol.

You may not have had the issues with tegretol that I'm having since you were so young. I am having wierd sensations in my chest, extreme tiredness, sometimes I feel my depression is worse but that passes pretty quickly, pain in my legs that comes and goes...stuff like that. Did you have any of those side effects?

I hope you are doing well. Are you getting help with the swelling in your brain?
