very anxious mother

i am 30 and am having my 3rd child. I have anxiety and doctor took me off my anxiety medicine. Was on atarax 25 mg. Which i took 2 every night before bed. And took one through the day or if i woke up feeling anxious. Now i am on buspar 10 mg 3 times a day. Been taking for 5 days. I am waking up with extreme anxiety and ney able to take ny atarax to help myself calm down. When reading the info on atarax i wasn't convinced it was harmful. I was taking this up til i was 10 weeks. Baby measured perfect and heart rate was 168. Which is healthy.  so if this med was harmful why would everything be going great with baby. I feel like i need this med to keep me from having anxiety. What are your thoughts. And if your against atarax then is there something that's as effective as this i could take?  please help. Im miserable.

Atarax is a medication that's strictly off limits for pregnancy.   Have you discussed any herbal remedies with your OBGYN ?

Your doctor if suggested you to not take it then you should not. Ask him/her from an alternate.
