Hi bob185,
I was on effexor years ago and then stopped that and started on zoloft.3 mths ago i started back on effexor and was ok. I have had the worst year so far but believe effexor has helped me one side affect with me is it irritates my liver while i was on zoloft my liver was fine but now it showing signs of irritation. I havnt heard of wellburton so i cant say which is better. maybe see your gp and get everything checked everbody reacts differently to meds if you have any liver problems stay away from effexor.other than my liver being irritated which wasnt noticed til a routine blood test effexor is ok. sorry if i have confused you more.
