what medication to try

what medication to try

Hi every one, I've been sick with silent migraines for a very long time, it's started to take its toll on my mental health, I have tremendous amounts of braine fog and memory loss.
the breaine fog kicks in during even the smallest amount of stress now.
a friend who has depression was saying this is a true sing of depression, and even if you dont feel depressed dosnt mean your not.
well my quest for true health is on, many years ago doctors didnt know what was causing my illness so they assumed it was depression and tried me on zoloft, after being on it for a while I started to have suicidal  thoughts which I NEVER had prior to zoloft.
I'm not sure if it was that the dose was just too high.
It was prescribed by a GP. starting dose was 100mg a day , all I could do was lay there for months,
so maybe at a lower dose it would help.
I also worry about the sexual side effects. My husband has been helping me through this illness and I dont want anymore issues in that department,
Q: do all antidepressants cause people sexual disfunction?
is there some that dont?
I also cant take Benzo diazapines , i have an interesting reaction to them to say the least, its the opposite, they give me anxiety.
Q: I need something to take the brain fog away not add to it.
do all antidepressants keep us sedated, I cant efford that in my life.
also I cant take trycilic type as I am on verapamil for my heart and my silent migraine, its at a high dose and if i was to go on trycilic antidepressants I could cause more problems there, blood pressure ect.
thanks so much , I'm hoping to here from anyone with any Ideas.

Gotta agree with Hensley, it sounds like a bad reaction and its unlikely you'll find relief from other SSRI's , if anything you may find worse side effects. You really do need to listen to your body because its giving you early warning here.

Mabey your doctor should consider one of the older anti-depressants such as MAO-B
inhibitors or MAOIs... they have severe drawbacks though in having to watch your diet VERY carefully because there are many things you can not eat while on them such as lunch meats and cheese. And of course you cant take them if you have blood pressure issues that have to be medicated. Just throwing it out there incase its something you can consider with the advice of your doctor.
