when does withdraws end

ive been on effexer xr for two years and i ran out of meds on fri and i cant get a refill till the 14th when i see the doc so how long do u go through withdrawl

Many years ago when I was taking Effexor, I also ran out and figured, "no big deal I will get more in a few weeks when I see my doctor." WOW! was that ever a mistake! After about one week cold turkey, I swear my brain felt like a can of smashed meat.
I ended up calling my docs office and he called me in a script. I suggest you do the same.
