why does stress affect me

hi can anyone say if stress affects your view on feelings for people ie love. over the last 3 months i have been under allot of heavy stress with work and working out my relationship. my love over the last 3 months since i got better has been second to none etc. then last week i noticed myself having the feeling of wanting to cry. i could feel myself getting irritable and angry. this was mainly during and after work hours. when i see my girlfriend at weekends everything was fine untill sunday when bang i just litterally had no feelings/emotions it was as if someone wrenched the rug from my feet. and then i start questioning everything about weather i love her etc. i am numb towards everyone. it appears to be a comon pattern as i look through my diary. i get loads of stress which to a normal person is not stress then bang this happens to me i get low etc. so is it stress and depression how can i prevent myself from being sensitive to stress and stop going numb etc.

Stress effects everyone at different stages in their lives and some more than others,however when it gets to much,try and find something to do to take your mind off it.If that doesn't work there is always the option of taking meds.Do what is best for your situation.You might be able to identify with activities that make you feel more relaxed.All the best.
