Hi everyone,
I am on .25 xanax and 20mg of celexa, both once a day. I want to wean off both of these drugs and want to know how to do it properly. I have only been on xanax 2 months and celexa is a switch from lexapro due to insurance. I been on lexapro/celexa 2 years. If anyone can give me the proper and safeSafe driving for teens Safe sex way to do this it would be great! Please and thanks.
I don't know anything about xanax but can give you some advice on celexa. I tried several times to go off celexa and here's what worked for me. I would reduce my dose by 5 mg at a time (even though it means breaking up those tiny pills). I would stay on the reduced dose for at least two weeks and then go down another 5 mg. If i felt depressed I would go back up 5 mg and wait two more weeks. If I felt fine then I would reduce miy dosage another 5 mg until I was only on 5 mg and then again if I got depressed i would go back on the 5 mg. It seemed that my body knew when I was ready to go off my meds. When I felt depressed I just told myself that i wasn't ready.
