I also have lots of dandruff from wearing a hat. can dandruff cause temporary hair loss?  and is head and shoulders shampoo good or bad for the hair. i heard that its too rough for hair

Dandruff can cause hair loss and wearing a hat and keeping the hair unhealthy may cause dandruff. For dandruff, keep the hair clean and use shampoos containing coal tar preparations, pyrithione zinc, salicylic acid, selenium sulfide and ketoconazole.

You may need to alternate between types of shampoos if one type initially controls the dandruff but later loses its effectiveness.
