Hello,
I assume that you mean to say cutaneous lupus. It is an autoimmune manifestation of the skin which is often provoked by sun’s exposure. It may sometimes be an associated symptoms of SLE(systemic lupus erythematosus). Blood tests and ANA titres need to be done and the treatment consists of sun protection, topical and oral steroids, Corticosteroid injections, calcineurin inhibitors, pimecrolimus cream or tacrolimus ointment and imiquimod cream, antimalarial tablets(have anti-inflammatory properties and is helpful) and laser therapy in resistant cases.
