0.77 cm of red spot(where the skin feels thick)

Hello Doctor,

Please check the picture under the following link. Please look into it.

2-3 months ago, I had dry skin near to my ear. when I started scratching, there was also a bit of moisture from. I think (not sure) that I used another type of my usual shampoo at that time.

After that it was looking like it is going to heal, but it did not. The skin became thick and when I did not use any lotion, it was dry also.

It has a diameter of about 0.70 cm.

It itches not that much. From time to time little itching.

Can this be a cancer? or what else? Eczema?

My Dermatologist did take a look to it, and told me it is eczema, but he did not take any Biopsy.
he adviced me to use hormonical creme on it for 2 weeks.

Any advice from your side doctor?

Welcome to the Dermatology Expert Forum!

Erythematous (red), dry, flaky , sometimes itchy plaque on scalp could very likely be clinical manifestation of Psoriasis or Seborrhoic dermatitis. You should discuss therapy (intermittent, short-term use of corticosteroid preparations) and maintenance (regular use of medicinal shampoo and/or keratolytic  agents, lifestyle changes, etc.) with your dermatologist.

There are several different skin cancers, plus each of them has multiple subtypes. It does not sound nor look (although picture is not clear enough) like you have skin cancer, but with each skin lesion evaluated, skin cancer has to be excluded. If there is the slightest suspicion, skin biopsy is an excellent diagnostic tool to reach for and differentiate.
