Hello,
Cutivate cream contains steroid cream Flucortisone and is not used for fungal infection. Get the diagnosis confirmed from a dermatologist and fungal infection ruled out by means of KOH examination. The burning sensation can be due to parasthesia skin. Chronic paresthesia indicates a problem with the functioning of neurons.
Parasthesias are common in alcoholics and metabolic disorders like diabetes, hypothyroidism, and hypoparathyroidism. They can also be due to peripheral vascular disease, vitamin B12 deficiency or malnutrition.
Get your blood sugar and thyroid hormones levels evaluated. You can take some vit B12 for some days and see if the crawling sensation is gone or not.
I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Hello,
It looks like fungal infection because you have the history of athlete’s foot also which is a fungal infection. It is better to get a KOH examination of the skin scrapings done to confirm the diagnosis as fungal infection. I suggest you to get it done from a dermatologist. Then we can start with topical and oral antifungals.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
