17 with literally never ending stretch marks!!PLEASE HELP ME!!!!
ok im 17 years old. recently went through a lot of stress..well i dont know you people so i guess you cant really judge me it was part of my life and i changed well to get to this point in the past 9 months have come completely off drugs and im going through a LOT of stress! im 5'9 and have gained about 100 lbs. since the beginning of all this no joke! and now, i have tons and tons and tons of stretch marks EVERYWHERE theyre on my stomach, theyre on my upper arms, theyre on my upper thighs, theyre on my sides, theyre under my breasts my underarms literally everywhere!
i hate my body and i dont know what i can do about it OTHER THEN lose weight which me and my boyfriend are both working on and have been for a while now but its like i just cant lose weight! its really really depressing when your 5 year old neice asks you how you got those "bad scratches
" on your stomach. and im constantly having to make sure my shirt is down and im afraid to wrestle around with my boyfriend...and just normal things a 17 year old would do like i when i go to the beach or the lake or the swimming pool i wear a huge tshirt..
I went to the doctor and they told me that im insulin
syndrome) so none of that is helping me lose weight ya know! i have thought about weight loss surgery but i dont want to go that route unless i have to but im just 17 and i have my life ahead of me i dread vacation
and would rather go to alaska then back home to florida at this point! im embarassed of what people think of me and i really dont know what to do PLEASE HELP ME ANY SUGGESTION WILL BE EXTREMELY APPRECIATED! thanks so much!-ginger
Hi,
Ginger, first of all relax. There are a lot of people who go through a lot of things in life that stresses them out, but you cannot internalize all that to the extent where you lose your health.
Now, to tackle your weight gain issues, in spite of your medical condition you can through a strict regimen of exercise and diet control your problem. You have to realize that to pile on all that weight you have eaten more than what your body requires, probably as a way to deal with your situation. To lose all that extara stuff, you will have to start eating less, start by reducing the portion sizes and also restrict yourself to 3 main meals. Also give up all the junk food and eat healthy. There is ample information out ther regarding this issue.
Take up a sport and get some physical activity done daily. If required take medications prescribed by your doctor to regulate your hormone levels(PCOS).Exercise also helps to do this.
Take it one step at a time and you will get there.
