19 with various symptoms of Psoriasis!!!

About six months ago my skin started to deteriorate. At first it stated with my fore-head. Directly along my hairline started to dry out. It soon spread to my upper cheeks along-side my nose and in my eye-brows. I also received several of those white bumps on the end of my tongue, which eventually healed and haven't returned yet (knock on wood). i soon discovered that it was more severe than i was first aware when it started peeling off in big chunks, leaving the skin tender and red. Then i started feeling it on the back of my head on my scalp under my hair. now months later it's much worse and in several areas of my body. I have several bumps on the palms of my hands that peel off. Any injury i get heals and then while it's in a scar form starts drying out and itching, basically being very uncomfortable. i also have spots all along my legs and a large one bellow my right butt cheek. Recently i became aware of red bumps on my penis, they haven't dried out, but they become very uncomfortable when i attempt to have sex. It's not herpes, and i hope it's not syphilis because they are small red areas that look nothing like acne. There are also some spots on the top of my right foot and a HUGE spot underneath it. The skin has basically pealed away a large portion on the sole of my foot. it may be a bit tender but because the skin is so thick i rarely feel anything but a twinge of pain a couple times a day. the thing is it's getting worse by the day and i no longer have health insurance so i can't afford to see a doctor. i've listed most if not all of my symptoms and if it would make it easier i can even send pictures. i'm really worried that maybe i have psoriasis, but i don't want to try and fail several expensive treatments. i'd like it if you could hit the nail on the head... lol, who wouldn't. also could you recommend some over the counter and well as some prescription creams i could try.

I really... really appreciate it.

I have had a terrible problem the skin on my eyes upper and lower gets red swells and is itchy, then it scales and it hurts it looks awful and the Drs. treat me with antihistimines.  they say it is allergies but it goes on 12 mos. a year.  I do not believe it is allergies anymore.  I saw an eye specialist over 2years ago and he had a name and treatment that worked and I can not remember it and no other Dr. where i live seems to get this.  How can I get help?  Very upset

Hi,

It is unclear whether this skin disorder that you have is eczema or psoriasis. Some modalities of treatment in both these may be similar, even though they are altogether different disorders.

Therefore it make sense to visit your dermatologist and find out the cause of this disorder, he may then prescribe you medication accordingly. He can also monitor treatment course and help you with alternative medication as per your needs.

Nothing can be said with absolute surety without having a look at the lesions.

You need to wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites.

Apply calamine lotion at the site of the lesions and see if it helps. You could take some oral antihistamine medications like cetrizine or loratadine. You need to maintain a good personal hygiene .

Anti-itch drugs, often antihistamine, may reduce the itch during a flare up of eczema, and the reduced scratching in turn reduces damage and irritation to the skin.

Keep us posted and let us know what the doctor says.
