broke, she got better. A few days later I notice a rash forming on the left side of her back, right above the diaper line. It eventually spread to her left underarm, so I took her to the daughter after a few days. The DR says its just a rash, it has nothing to do with the fever
she had. She told me to give benadryl orally & 1% hydrocortisone. I did that for 2+ days. Nothing happened, it actually got a little worse. Called the doc office, they called her in a prescription of TRIAMCINOLONE 1%. Ive been treating her with that since yesterday. I havent changed soaps, laundry detergents, even shampoos. She hasn't ate anything new or out of her ordinary. I just hate seeing her scratch
etc.) and medications. Oral antihistamine, such as Benadryl can be used. Your child should take a comfortably cool bath and covering the affected area with bandages and dressings can help protect the skin and prevent scratching. You should choose mild soaps without dyes or perfumes and use a mild, unscented laundry detergent when washing clothes, towels and bedding.
Also apply calamine lotion as it helps in soothing effect on the skin.
If the symptoms persist then get an evaluation done from a dermatologist. Chronic hives which can be due to systemic diseases also need to be ruled out.
