like blisters) After being to several baffled GPs, I was referred to a consultant dermatologist who took a skin biopsy, she diagnosed me with Lupus Pernio and prescribed me Dermovate Ointment. She also took a chest xray which came back normal. She told me that I had psoriasis in my nails also.
This skin problem resolved soon after, but my fingernails have since been very pitted and ridged. My toe nails are thick and flaky and yellow
reappeared after 3 years and along with it came what only looks like Terrys nails on my fingernails...(most of nail is pale with tips having a red line across). I have been having very bad headaches which I was referred into A&E last October for a CT scan, Thyroid test, another chest xray, blood and urine tests...which all came back ok. They also screened me for Lupus and diabetes which I never got the results for ( i had to ring the following monday to get them but I figured if results came back positive they would contact me). I have also been suffering from mental foggyness, which is increasing by the day (forgetting what i went into a room for, or what im talking about mid sentence) Joint pain including a sciatica type pain from my hips down my legs and achy ankles, wrists knees etc.
Along with the chronic tiredness which a full night sleep does nothing for...im very worried about my nails. Can this look of Terrys nails appear with psoriasis aswell? I do not have skin psoriasis only in my nails. About six months ago I was also diagnosed with Rosecea on my nose, which Im taking Tetralysine for. I do not drink or smoke. I used to have a few social drinks about once a month but I cannot tolerate any alcohol anymore...i get violently sick soon after consuming it.
Im going to see my doctor again tomorrow but any advice would be appreciated until then. Thank you...M
