6 month with recurring symtoms
My 6 month old was diagnosed the first week of October with according to her pediatrician, impetigo.  She had 2 small spots on her back that crusted over with the honey colored crust, and that was all.  He prescribed Mupirocin Ointment and then gave her an oral med that I'm drawing a blank on at the moment.  Literally, 2 weeks later, she had these same spots & crusting in her head.  So, we treated the same way again...ointment and oral medicine.  Last night as I was putting her to bed, I felt 3 more spots in her little head, so I applied the ointment to the spots.  And of course, this morning they have the crusty, honey colored patches on them.  Is it really possible that Impetigo would occur this often, or are we being misdiagnosed?  I'm really getting concerned bc we are living at a temporary residence that isn't as clean as I'd like, but its really old and there's not much one can do in an extremely old house.  Please help my poor baby girl!
