by Antonella31465, Jun 05, 2008 08:45PM
My 7 year old daughter was treated with RID twice after an outbreak of head lice in her school end of January 08. By the beginning of April I begun to notice my daughter hair was falling, but not big deal. At Mid May after a her bath, the bathtub was completely filled with hair. Doctor said to keep her in check, she does not have sign of any stress, is in perfect health otherwise, she is a little happy girl. But tonight I can see her scalp has two colors, white and pinkish, I am terrify she is going completely bold, please help me

Hi

Hair loss may be due to a scalp disorder or in some cases  hormones and even genetics. Seborrheic dermatitis, fugal infections and even discoid lupus may cause hair loss .In your child's case you have mentioned of lice and also a prior use of scalp medication , is this correct?

I suggest that you bring your child for a follow up consult with her physician. At this point , we have to rule out any underlying scalp disorder in the form of a scalp infection and inflammation.
